Missing magic spar

So this is the first time I ran into this. I got on to play this morning like I do every morning to loot my stuff and start upgrading. I upgraded my priest yesterday and accepted the upgrade this morning then got off to go to work. I checked back an hour later and my priest are back to their previous level and I didn't get my 15 spar back. Now I have to re-upgrade them again and use another 15 spar. Don't think that is very fair.
