I've been seeing it often lately in arena. What triggers that? Is it the protection from dizzying hits?

It's from white gem. It protects against bad statuses and critical hits.

Well it isn't just heroes I've seen it on. So it must be the defense thingy from the training.

its the last thing in the research lab, the one with the muscle arm it protects your troops against status effects to whatever percent you have it upgraded

I guess I see it so often because it prevents mages from being able to slow attack speed?

I guess that would be worth getting... hmmm...

The animation shows up everytime the unit is attacked regardless of whether its actually negating an effect. But i agree, you should definitly work on getting your resistance up.

So the unit could be slowed without turning blue? Or whatever other effect?

I like how they're adding variety with these effects, but I don't like the lack of control in battle with them. Given how fast paced and how little information we get during battle, it is hard to tell which work and which do not.

The best you can really do is make guess's based off the percentages and also what you are seeing when you watch replays and such. When i jumped from level 1 heavy hit to level 2 i can definitly say i saw an increase in dizzy enimies.
